One thing about my mom which I always remember was that she would give what she had without a reason to anyone who needed it, and never think back about it ever coming back. So many people, wanderers would end up at our doorstep to get old sarees and many other things... even inside the army quarters. it was amazing!
I have never seen her tired. I used to think when growing up that moms never fall sick or get tired. As i never recall me ever missing a meal or anything like that. Now when I have my life I realise that she definitely must have been tired at many instances but she chose never to make it a big deal and put her kids her first priority. We never or should I say hardly ate out when I grew up. She cooked everyday three times - breakfast, lunch and dinner. For me my mom is a wonder woman! How did she do it? What was her source of energy? Today Ihave Sudarshan Kriya, MEditation and all of that! How did she do it?
She made me the person I am today. She taught me to see God in every person around me, and to be kind and understanding of others problems and situations in life. She had so much kindness and compassion in her for everyone. She was so skilled in any situation especially with chldren. She could make any kid listen to her. It always amazed me! The most tyrant of a kid in her presence would forget to be so and listen to her.
I love my mother. If not for her presence in my life - I wouldnt be who I am. She taught me to love life and this world. She taught me to see God in every person around me. She taught me ot be truthful, compassionate and kind. She taught me never to judge the other as everyone comes from their own truth of knowing...
My Mother - she is rare.. noone taught her to be herself.. she is so rare.. she is my guru and my dearest friend! I love her so much that given this every paper on this universe I could keep writing about her and still find that I dont have enough paper...
I am grateful to be born of her and for her presence in my life...

Rekha dear, such a lovely elaboration of your memories of yesteryear, touched my heart. Aunty is the epitome of motherhood and your memories is a way to say Thank U to each of our mothers as I am sure everyone reading this section is bound to remember their moms and the way their mothers have sacrificed for them.
Thanks dear.
