After a long period of hush I emerge out like a butterfly from a caterpillar - ready to fly high, embrace the fragrances of life, flay and fly...
The last 3 months were indeed one of deep contemplation and I spent in that one land which to me symbolizes contemplation, nirvana, heaven.. and that is the land of opposites, the land of nothingness and fullness together bursting out of its every corner - The Land of India.
I spend my longest stay in India since I have moved to United States in 1999. And this visit marked my return to the land after 3 long years. There were lot of festivities including my sisters wedding, international women's conference, shivrathri with my gurudev, temple visits, moms closeness, dads humor, sisters presence, relatives, family, food, movies, election mania, horns, speed, dust, dirt, sound, silence, first rain, mangoes, pineapple. jackfruit, arguments with the rikshawallah, ashrams, swamijis, slums, eating out, shopping, bargaining, window shopping, thellawallas, fried peanuts, corn chaat, gobi manchurian, indian ice cream, cadburys 5-star , eating in banana leaf, home-made food, infinite cups of tea, sweets, cows, curious neighbors, feeding aunties, pestering grandmoms, endless advises, temple bells, dogs barking at dawn, loud speakers, festivals, elephants, unconditional love of a stranger, gossip, street kids, peeing in the train, dirty bathrooms, standing at the train doors, eve teasing, blanket of grace at every step, smile from innumerable strangers, early morning meditations, silence at sumeru mantap, sadhana in vishalakshi, jasmine flower vendors, NICE road in Bangalore, miracles, stories, artists, craftsmanship, innocence, playfulness, past life visits, prayer, jokes, sales, crowds, dhobi, freshly ironed crisp clothes, sun dried clothes, boiled drinking water, salted mango pickles, home ground masalas, cooker whistles, kids stopping in for water, wide open home doors ................
